SHARE Atlanta has visitors from many groups...this page is our effort to help the internet community know what groups are out there. We get lots of folks asking "if there is a group close by or in my area." This list will focus on the smaller groups to help them make more local connections.

Pen Parents of Australia is a not for profit correspondence network which was formed in 1992 with the assistance of Maribeth Doerr, founder of Pen Parents in the USA.
PPOA is run by Shelley Lloyd and Kym Hansen, both bereaved parents, who donate their services voluntarily.
Currently we have members from all parts of Australia and several who are living overseas. Our quarterly newsletter is issued free to all members at present. To date we have been able to operate through donations from members and rely on this income in order to offer free support to those who cannot afford subscription fees.
Our network is open to any bereaved parent. Our members cover many types of loss with some whose loss/es occurred recently and others many years ago.
Please send your name and address for registration forms and a sample of our newsletter.
The Capital Area SHARE Group was established in 1988 by parents and professionals who felt there was a great need for a support group to serve those who have experienced the loss of a baby.
Currently, the SHARE group meets the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA. However, due to major renovations at the church, our group is currently searching for a "new home." We will notify you of that new location as soon as possible. Thank you.
My small bereavement support service net-works in with organisations within Australia and overseas.

Tx Moms of Tiny Angels is a group of mothers who have lost children due to early miscarriage, stillbirth and/or early infant death. Tx Moms of Tiny Angels will provide immediate and ongoing support for those who have been affected by the loss of a child, education for family and friends on the stages of grieving to help them better understand that loss and to enable them to provide support, and to provide emotional and educational support to bereaved parents through the use of information and resource materials.
We are providing grief packets to area hospitals as well as "NICU Survival Kits" for parents with children spending their first weeks/months in NICU. We are also providing packets to local funeral homes that will hold information on funeral services, ideas for song and poetry selections and ideas on ways to create memories for your child.
The grief packets will contain information on dealing with the loss of a child, the choices offered in situations such as autopsies to determine the cause of the loss, a disposable camera, a handmade baby blanket, a memory box, a stuffed animal and a list of local cemeteries to contact for burial help and information.
The "NICU Survival Kits" will be comprised of everyday items for parents of babies in the NICU including travel size shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, snacks, pen and paper, magazines, tissues, etc.
Tx Moms of Tiny Angels is still working on becoming nonprofit, and I think we really have a wonderful group of women and will do wonderful things to help parents who are suffering from the loss of a child. I just wanted to let you know who we are and what we are doing.
Marcia was a huge help to me when I lost my daughter in May of 1998 to a cord accident at 36 weeks. I have been looking for a way to help others with the kind of pain and sorrow I lived through, and I finally have found a "silver lining" to the loss of Brittany. Thank you again for everything Marcia - you are a wonderful person.
Sincerely, Jenny Coffey
